Stargardt's.org - Stargardt's disease information
What is Stargardt's? This web site is devoted to collecting and distributing information on StargardtŐs Disease - a genetic disease associated with progressive vision loss. The site is maintained by individuals and parents of StargardtŐs children searching
for answers and possible treatments to forestall further degradation of sight and perhaps reverse existing vision loss. It is essential that those in need can research and share their efforts with others. We actively solicit input from medical professionals and those interested in the disease to help us develop an
informational resource that can answer common questions, point to prospective treatments, highlight clinical trials, and provide links to primary research in the field. Please discuss all material on this site with your opthalmologist - we are not physicians and can only share the results of our efforts. We have provided
links to the other principal sources of general information on the WWW as well as information from Medline - the medical database maintained by the National Library of Medicine. Medline provides information from medical journals published throughout the world and is often the best source for new treatments or avenues of
exploration.
